Within the framework of the commercial relations and scientific exchanges between the company POCRAMé and the Institute for Health Research, Epidemiological Surveillance and Training (IRESSEF), Dr Bouam visited Senegal last June in order to provide a face-to-face training on the MEPHILAB and MEPHIPOINT

The visit began with a presentation of the IRESSEF's diagnostic and research laboratories, in particular the molecular biology and genomic sequencing platform, which is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment.

It was followed by a scientific meeting with Professor Mboup, Dr Padane and the IRESSEF teams on the POC diagnosis of infectious diseases

During this meeting, Dr Bouam had the opportunity to present the products of the company POCRAMé, in particular the latest innovation: the mini clean room called ADENA. This is an enclosure dedicated to molecular biology, designed to eliminate DNA/RNA cross-contamination.

The visit ended with a day of training at IRESSEF for a dozen biologists, technicians and maintenance staff in order to train them in the use of the MEPHIPOINT device in the context of delocalised diagnosis and the fight against epidemics and emerging infectious diseases.
